Classified information - just knowing it or learning about it inadvertently are not a crime, otherwise regular NY Times readers would all be guilty.

When you actively pursue information above your clearance level or collude with/coerce others to procure classified information, you have committed a serious federal offense.

Assuming Tony never told most site members what he was doing, they would be hard to prosecute. But the US attorney just has to connect the dots between Anthony, the FBI guys and an ongoing conspiracy to steal classified info and he is in for serious Federal prison time, no matter what happens to any stock-related charges.

The Justice Department gets REALLY pissed off at anyone trying to infiltrate their ranks (including the FBI) and any of their own who break the rules when they hold a clearance.
