Toes,
You are keeping some fine company with your fine and upstanding Congressman....how lucky you Pensacolians are to have such a Christian looking out for the military. What about his officer worker....did he care for her?

"Unbelievably, that was it. The story was simply dropped. A young female employee of one of Florida's Congressmen had died unexpectedly in the Congressman's office. There were no witnesses to her death and the cause of death was not apparent. Klausutis' boss, Joe Scarborough had recently resigned from Congress prematurely and unexpectedly, amid rumors about his marital fidelity and soon after a divorce. He had also abruptly resigned as publisher of the Independent Florida Sun, claiming that resigning from Congress and as publisher was necessary to spend more time with his sons."

Ah! But you're living in a era of American history when the left has managed to pervert the civil rights movement toward the obstructive end of cheapening the franchise. No one has to be literate, no one has to prove identity. All that's required is that someone be at least 18 and breathing. No democracy can survive such a cheapening of the method of conferring power. It empowers the charlatans who will always be on the fringe, and who the Founders went to great lengths to try to keep there.

The pendulum will swing, of course. And, over the next 10 to 20 years, it will swing right between the archaic left's eyes, and knock them out of history forever. But the changes that brings may not all be for the positive, and may create more difficulties for those of us who wish to preserve the Founder's ideals. Citizens of EVERY era must be responsible, and we have failed our own democracy...
