what positive hype? NVLS is right now up .30 - if there were so much hype, wouldn't one expect it to run? Also, Niles' comments on INTC helped put a damper on afternoon rally thus far

I agree - It's hard to believe that NVLS, with a PE over 55, is going to start a rally, no matter what kind of info they lay out tonight.

Israel, Remember that Cisco bounce that came out of nowhere...and the market rallied ahead (and after) of AMAT as well.

Just looking to see if the conditions are set for that spike once again. The spike in p/c and vix/vxn tells me that we could be close. Unlike many others, I see the weak dollar as a potential catalyst for techs and golds--an odd combination. Outflows out of bonds and into stocks as well as gold, other currencies, other stock markets....some of this find its way in to large cap US stocks (especially tech). Also waiting for some strategists to change allocation to reduce bond holdings...could start a stampede soon.

This time, we are further away from options expiration, so max pain trading may not kick in yet.. I would expect that when Intel does their mid quarter update June 6.

OK...I am just long and hoping for the best.<g>
Will consider lightening up a bit into the close today, if Nasdaq gets close to green.
