You came into the situation convinced that there was a secret shadow government, that Bush pere (as former CIA Director) was highly influential within it, and that Bush fils was essential a puppet of the money interests and unregenerated Cold Warriors, who were loathe to give up the national security state and therefore lose their power and perks. Then you started interpreting everything in that light, unless challenged to hard, in which case you started burbling about open minds and raising questions.
