Truman dropped the atomic bomb on an exhausted Japan, not to defeat Japan - Trumans generals were against it, even "bomb 'em back to the stoneage" LeMay - but to warn Stalin. That was preferrable to marching in.

At that time, it wasn't the policy to militarize the world. We didn't have the means. The people would not have allowed it.

Now we have the means.

It's up to the people to decide at this point.
"endless testimony before committees" is exactly what is required, if the administration refuses to disclose, and continues to deceive.

And particularly if they continue to head in a direction that they admit will be a failure in protecting our American homeland.

My standards are higher than yours, Neo.

I'm not calling you a "fruitcake", or an "enemy", or your comments "tripe", as much as I patiently disagree with your dialog.

More importantly, I have higher expectations for success, and a greater demand for our public servants to find it, and less of a willingness to roll over and say "die".
