Gold prices rise on New York Commodity Exchange

NEW YORK (AP) -- Gold for current delivery closed at $323.90 per troy ounce Tuesday on the New York Commodity Exchange, up $3.50 from late Friday.

HSBC Bank USA gave a late quote of $324.25 up $3.75 from late Friday. U.S. financial markets were closed Monday for the Memorial Day holiday.

Gold closed in London at $323.80 bid per troy ounce, up from $319.90 on Monday.

In Zurich the bid price was $323.38, up from $319.75.

Gold rose 20 cents in Hong Kong to close at $321.25.
