It does not make the teachings any less valuable or true that he is or is not the Son of God ...just a good shepard
would suffice.

It makes all the difference in the world.

Mars.....

>>Jesus the figure was unique to the roman conciousness , but once they caught on to that essence , they had discovered a great truth and ran with it . But that truth was already known before and in other lands , seen by other ascetic masters in Buddha or the great Jain/Hindu sages ....the romans got entirely carried away with their holy claims .

Jesus was the one that the Empire deified , but it's not that simple as "Christ is the only One , Son of God "

not for 1billion followers of Islam , or 1billion followers of Hinduism , 1/2 bil of Buddhism and it will be ever thus . Christians have a good creed , and so live it . But it was not the original, it was the one that was perpetuated by the most swords though.

It does not make the teachings any less valuable or true that he is or is not the Son of God ...just a good shepard
would suffice.>>

You seem to want it both ways which is fine.

I don't have a problem with whatever folks want to ascribe to Buddha or anyone else as far as belief in a deity goes.

I just know that the truth can only be ONE - ie. ONE God and this is ONE who I know and proclaim as our Lord God and Father Jesus Christ who descended from heaven, faced and overcame every form of sin and evil this world could present him with and who paid the ultimate sacrifice for others to rise and be one with him who believe in him. For he overcame this world and in so doing he subjugated the hells and re-established his complete dominion over love and power over this world and all the hells.

There can only be ONE name through which this is all done. You are perfectly fine in using Buddha as THE ONE Lord God. I have no problem with this whatsoever. In fact I'm alwyas one to encourage the greatest forms of expression individual faith and belief as long as this FREEDOM of expression is what is honored.

I think you know full well by now, that "mankind's religion" has completely failed this "freedom test." For mankind's religion is all about claims and conditions and controls that enslave the spirit and this world.

When we transcend the insanity of these conditions, claims and "sides" we recognize that we are all ONE with each other and there are no gaps, division or separations to keep us from loving one another freely and openly with tolerance and acceptance and great mercy and forgiveness and thankfullness.
