Thanks for everyone who replied to me. It looks like the Matrox but does it really do 2D better than some of the screaming cards available now?

I'm getting confused. I was looking on CNET at some of their performance charts and here's comparison between the G-550 and an older GeForce card:

This is a GeForce2 card. Wouldn't it just make sense that a GeForce 3 or 4 will outperform a GF2 let alone the Matrox G-550 in 2D?

Performance is more of an issue than price for me.

I'm leaning towards the Matrox because so many people swear by it but I'm a little wary. Maybe seeing will be believing.
