what's that one movie? -- you know: it starts out in dark ages. These guys see some folks catching the plague -- then they have to go on this religious quest and they drill a hole into the earth only to arrive in modern times. One of them gets killed crossing the street -- they find something at a church and take that back with them, but the main character winds up with the plague anyway ... wouldn't put it at the top of my all-time favorites, but it was kinda neat.
