The error is to compare the Dutch or England prior to WWII to the US today. The Dutch were living in a small defenseless country. No comparison, by any stretch of the imagination, or by any military dimension. Which is what we're talking about here. As far as blame goes - forget "blame" and find out the "error", which is a long list (including the error of not firing several highly placed people continuing to perpetrate errors - don't blame 'em, just get 'em out <gg>)
