agree, they are just doing their job ... don't know what folks expect. The idea that he would have ruined the party in 95 and 96 was expecting too much -- completely detached from the idea of serving the public -- they are -- it's not in their charter ... got to be realistic.

Greenspan recently said that even he can't define what "money" is..

I struggled with this for weeks. I came to the conclusion that money is "a call option on the resources of society".

The whole FIAT thing is a recognition of counterparty risk.
