The reaction has been interesting indeed. But I think the point being made by the bulls is that it is classic for a secular bull run in anything to scare out some with the first money in to "protect" their profits. That's what the tech bubble did when it started in the '90's and that is what this one will do in gold. Yes, there will be corrections. That is a given. What isn't a given is that traders will be able to match the huge profit non-traders will attain by staying put.

Howy... how do you take advantage of the inevitable buying opportunities that come along?

I do this by re-balancing my portfolio (that's why you rarely hear me tell anyone I've sold a stock for fear of torpedo-ing my remaining holdings) - the risk of losing money by being out of this sector is much higher than being in. For me it's a risk/reward situation - and it's the unknown I'm insuring myself against.
