i just started with it too, but i'm using win2000pro most of the time.

winxp has a feature called 'system restore'. to access it, click start, then 'system restore'.

By default, the NTBACKUP program is not installed on the home version. You can find it on the CD in the \VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP directory
