Russ,
The thing we don't know is that maybe the full court press was used already and the players pressing are starting to tire.

Dear Russ,

Like you I am torn between two themes. One,the big boys aren't done yet. In fact like John Paul Jones they may not even have begun to fight yet.

On the other hand before gold got leprosy and went to $252 it was around $400. For me that is still the base case and gold will not only revert to that "mean" at some point ,it will go past it before coming back to some new level.

So do we buy and hold with stops? Trade in and out and buy on dips and sell on technical highs?

As we discussed earlier there are so many potential Economic and Political flash points that I believe it is too early to be (1) heading for the exits and (2) calling this a BULL market. I think it is another kind of market but I am not sure I know the economic term for what happens to a good or service that has been artificially depressed in price and then can't be reasonably contained anymore.

Best Regards,

Russ... and to all - in the defense of SDII - I don't mean to "body-snatch" posters. I'm sorry for that and I promise I will return my thread to it's original roots, which is oil and gas, after this is over. If anything... I'll shut the thread down and move the gang back to the original "unmoderated" forum.

-- thread guru I'm not...

Regards,
Frank P.

Russ,

I've been in this sector since 1994, "made" a bunch of money, and then lost it after the crash of Bre-X.

I think the difference this time is that we are in a primary, long-term gold bull market. Also, there is an enormous amount of speculative money in different sectors that (I believe) will eventually move into our sector.

Having lost most of what I "made" in 1997, I understand how dangerous this is, but, as they say, "This time it's different." <:)
