if they are deep in the money (sector index options) -- sometimes you can have a hard time even getting intrinsic (since you can't exercise).

Why not compse a basket yourself and save those premies -- I have never found indexes on sectors to be cost-effective -- and it makes sense -- think about what the maker of the market has to do in order to sell the options.

For me it was about the spread and the juice. The liquidity in the QQQ series is why I'm drawn to it as you know.

Believe the spread might be a little less many times on SMH however? tim
