It appears that people were thinking about the RICO statute even back in 2000.

I believe this alias is the one that outed Elgindy on the first indictment on the Yahoo message board. One of the reporters picked it up and mentioned it in a story.

The comment about broadband is an interesting one. All monies from his activites were to be sent to Lebanon. He bought a piece of real estate in Lebanon. He had just sent $700,000 to Lebanon. Yet, he wouldn't spend much time there because they don't have broadband.
