Nope. The nasdaq soon realized that if they kicked off all the stocks trading under a buck, 40% of their listings would be gone. NASDAQ is a for-profit privately owned company. Without exchange fees, they wouldn't exist.

So basically for the last 12 months the nasdaq has been letting almost every worthless sub $1 tech stock stay listed..
