LOL, the compilers have been "evolving" for years. Admit it, the EPIC concept is a failure. Sure, it does good on FP. It ought to, with 128 registers, multiple execution units and a costly memory hierarchy. Somehow I don't think that Intel set out to target the supercomputer niche...but here we are.
