nnillionaire, thanks for the heads up on Linksys recommendations. I'm already using Zone Alarm free. Remember when naviscope was all the rage here for eliminating pop ups etc? I uninstalled it because it sometimes interferes with windows I want to pop up. I now just x out the occasional unwanted pop up. No big deal. I like the simple hints we get here, like mr mark's 'windows -D' for quickly displaying the desktop. :) Too much add-on software creates new problems as well. Gottfried
