"i got poots on citibankrupt" If the oportunities are real and the company can execute well in time a company is likely to prove to be a good investment if you are not paying a ridiculous premium -- the question of price is always an issue, but in the long run if the growth is there you are likely to do well. That is what investing for the long term is all about. Perhaps you are not invested for the long term.
