Market has a "no place to hide" feel: analyst By Julie Rannazzisi
John Roque, senior vice president at Arnhold & S. Bleichroeder, said the ongoing bear market in large-cap stocks has created a sort of "no place to run, no place to hide" feel. In this scenario, he said even leading sectors -- either absolute or relative -- will weaken. He feels that financial stocks, which he dubs the market's bodyguard, will wok lower. "If the bodyguard goes away, it is virtually impossible to make money long," the analyst warned. Stocks continued to move lower in the final hour of trading, bogged down by the tech sector.
