You do not have an understanding of Christianity. You do not give up desire and ego. Your desire and ego are transformed by the Spirit of God.

You are so busy trying to promote Jesus , you do not see you just continue repeating what I have said ....
The ego is transformed ? Your desires are transformed? Nothing is given up , so something greater may be gained ?

hehe...chuckle.

Being "married" to the Spirit means that your desires have been altered by God and you no longer desire the momentary things of the world, but you long for the things of God.

And just what are those things , that are so different that you must constantly assail what is in essence the same goal , and that being the elevation of man's spirit and awareness of the "self" . Such semantics and silly word play is what causes much of the strife . If you were truely bathed in the holy spirit you would see this easily. Do you see Buddhist monks or Hindu sages that are not full of love , charity and kindness ? And living more as Christians than christians , in humility , giving up possesions , of prayer , of meditation , of good works and joy ? The Jesuits are aware of this , so why not you ?

Or do you wish to remain completely blind and promote the thread of differences and standard lines populist Christian theological "BS" ? Forget what you have been taugh to memorize JK , and try hard to fathom more...some meditation on the essence of life may help. If you study your religion close enough and well enough , you ---->will find that it was promoted from the first , and spread most of all thru the monastic and hermetic orders of monks . And that tradition was/is eastern in origins. Christianity is a monastic religion and Jesus was an ascetic .

When you submit to Christ, He changes you. That is the perennial difference between Christianity and any religion or belief where man must work to achieve salvation. Christ does the work. All man does is receive.

Perennial difference ? LOL....again you have just described Hinduism & Buddhism 101A&B . They contain all that you have described , and have done so from the "beginning ". You seem to have some fixation on not making any effort to change , purify , maintain physical health , learn to improve mental functions and mental clarity ....or learning the arts of serenity & detachment & equanimity . Rather than undserstand this takes training and great intensive efforts , you would rather depend on the old Judaic/Chritian witchcraft, magic & miracles and unwillingness to open your eyes and see.

I am changed and transformed by many things , but I do not call it Jesus/God/Allah/Yahveh , there are other forms of worship and scriptures than yours , and other teachers living here and now , many that you are unaware of , but others are not . Though I would never deny your right to call upon Jesus if you like ...and that is the difference between us . And these other traditions of seeing the eternal have survived , and that must be telling you something ?

But Christians are learning ....if ever so slowly, and secretly being transformed from without . Are you aware that there are 15mil people in the US alone that are practicing Yoga and those numbers are growing ? Something that should be offered in every Christian church and Moslem temple , and it is an ancient science , older than the "story" of
Moses.

As for your belief that the Jewish people are the chosen people , and Israel is the Holy Land ....all I can say is you are blinded by the light , and that light is a false light . Silly scriptures and incredible doctrines that no-one now really takes seriously , even in Israel if the truth be told .

You have your religion and others have theirs ...and that is as it should be . All is well.
