Well, I am glad that you at least summarized your position at this point. I agree, you have said some of it before, but I do not think that it has seemed enough to some parties who might be satisfied with such expressions in some form. I thought it needed reiteration in the light of Laz's question about whether you demand something for saying what ought to be said. Now, this is only a beginning, but perhaps it will help to keep the opportunity alive.......

You want to start? You start with an apology to Poet. You PM it to me and I'll email to her. If you email to her, she'll probably go berserk and delete it without reading it. You promise to leave her strictly alone as long as she desires that, both here and on IHUB. Remember what I told you about her and I? I was once in your position. The difference is I left her alone. Things eventually healed. But that brings up another thing: Even if you do all this, everything isn't hunky dory overnight. You have to win back people's trust. That will take weeks, months, maybe years with some. I'd say you owe YYB an apology. That may stick in your craw, but you said some rather nasty things about her. Maybe E too. And Karen. As far as SMBR is concerned, I promised Poet that she gets the final call on this. Sometime in the coming months she may reappear and we're keeping the home fires burning. As far as some people are concerned, you may never get them on your side again. That's life. There are people who think I ought to be shot too.

But I simply don't understand, on a gut level, how a person can see a viable, legitimate, and serious threat from someone who from 3,000 miles away, who the person has never met but is known only by electronic messages, when one has the simple ability to entirely eliminate any interaction with that person, to cut off every post made by or to that person and effectively not even know that the person exists. No, frankly, I don't "get" that, and, equally frankly, I doubt I ever will. And no, I'm not going to lie about that even if doing so would bring peace. And this is why in my opinion you have mental problems that need to be addressed by a professional. The people here who are trying to help you are just not enough to help you get it I'm afraid.
