LOL Was that the title? I saw it on tv a long time ago, and only caught bits and pieces as I went about my everyday life!

Shirley Valentine is one of my favorite all-time movies
You obviously are a moviegoer of great discernment and intelligence. Forget the rabble. We are right.
When we were in Corfu, my husband had a business meeting so I walked around the tiny village, stopped at a small cafe overlooking the ocean, ordered a Greek salad and a beer, and pretended I was Shirley V. However, no handsome Greek man invited me to go sailing and make love on his boat.
Still, it is a very nice memory.

I loved Shirley Valentine, "Hello Wall". It was positively lyrically lovely and thoroughly enjoyable. Another movie circa about that time, "Enchanted April" did not play to a wide audience either, but it was, nevertheless, wonderful. Have you seen Amelie? I saw the previews but missed it while it was playing here at an "art house" cinema.
