Just a little devil's advocate but what if...

the gun and ammo belonged to his wife as her separate property? The house is half hers as per CA community property laws. What if she had the gun, was controlling it, as her separate property in her community property? Just curious how the law would view that. What if his wife had the gun and didn't tell him about it? she kept it for the safety of herself and their kids? Just devil's advocate, not saying that's the case as I have no idea, just like you guys don't either. I didn't tell my boyfriend about my gun in the house immediately so it's possible. Fortunately he's not on probation.
