Cute stories, Karen. I love the way kids are so damn honest about everything. Years ago, my youngest daughter, who was four, was staring intently at my neighbor's face. " Colleen," she said, " are you looking at something special?" "Yes, Mrs. Donohue", she answered," You are so pretty. I love your yellow teeth." And also, way back there, I was reading a story to my first graders. All thirty of them were gathered around my rocker and were sprawled on the floor. As I read along, one little guy ran his hand up my calf and shouted," Ouch!" I laughed... but I've shaved my legs every day since then! Out of the mouths of babes!
