Sorry Gao, "the point is moot" does not mean "<the> end of discussion" like you said.

The conversation thread was started about possibly illegal voter roll purges in Florida, so your raising of totally disassociated issues from Calif. does not make the Florida point "moot".

It doesn't address the first issue at all... so it can't possibly 'make it moot'.

That is why I said that - by your own definition - your use of English was "moot" :)

In the future, if you don't wish to dispute an issue, just say you don't want to talk about it, or that you'd like to change the subject... or else say nothing at all.

As an alternative, you could actually learn the meaning of plain English words before you try to use them, thus avoiding situations where you get all 'hot and bothered' because ordinary mortals don't understand the secret meaning you have assigned these words, said meaning existing only inside your own head.
