Weren't Alpha and PA_RISC end of lifed a year or so ago?

We will see how Itanic 2 does against chips that aren't EOL.

In the marketplace.

My guess is that it's not ready for prime time yet.

What? Took them 10 years to "really beat" the Alpha?

I suspect Intel will really scramble to push iTanium ASAP now that Hammer looks like it might make it to market.
I suspect however that a lot of people will tell Inbtel that they will wait to see what Hammer has to offer.

What's AMD got after Hammer?
