How does that compare with HDTV?

The display can be used for SDTV, HDTV and XGA formats.

This paper was written almost a year ago, I'm guessing, but it's a pretty good over view:

pixel pitch, will be scalable to a 42-inch wide-
screen VGA format; a second design based on
a smaller 0.54-mm pixel pitch has a 34-inch
wide-screen TV as its goal with a 1,280 × 768-
pixel format that will satisfy both HDTV video
and XGA data requirements.
