Oakmark fund mgr Bill N. has FNM as one of its top holding. As far as I know like Buffett he is a die hard value investor. So it is highly unlikely it will be a slam dunk ENE II in the making.

the loveable cynic in me prefers to believe they're doing it because the resulting implosion will knock Haliburton out of the news.
