Hi John,

I'll have to take a look at Quigley's tome. I see at amazon.com that he's been read and admired by Bill Clinton. I've recently been reading one of GWB's (rumored) favorite authors, Robert Kaplan. I found his "Warrior Politics" to be chilling. In the same sense that Zbigniew Brzezinski's "The Grand Chessboard" is.

I'd characterize both Brzezinski and Kaplan as apologists for American imperialism. Would you say the same about Quigley?

Re: Overall I'm a supporter of President Bush and his administration.

I guess I'd be OK about the Administration.... except for what I perceive as gratuitous war-mongering and tolerance for kleptocracy.

All the best, Ray
