I believe Fiero was one of Tony's mentors. Now, I would presume that he stayed in contact with Fiero unless they had a falling out.

Let's take CDDD as an example.
New York Times was reporting that Chalem was involved with some people shorting CDDD. Chalem is reportedly executed. Elgindy abruptly terminates his short coverage. Elgindy makes a public post indicating he is going to take a powder.

Did Elgindy extort shares from CDDD and this is why the coverage was terminated?

Did Elgindy 'get' the warning from the execution of Chalem?

The CDDD story might provide some interesting clues for the Feds.

How paranoid was Elgindy on those chat logs about CDDD....

Notice that Lehmann had plead guilty to mail fraud charges in reference to an insurance scheme. Sound familiar?
