Good points on gold and owning mines. Good close for POG today.

But, I drag my feet when you say, "So far the US has rejected any political concessions to avoid future 9-11's. This is not entirely justified, as a peace treaty has to be signed eventually with someone, you just cannot wipe everybody out."

Arafat, al Qaeda, the Saudi Prince, Iran’s Ayatollah, Iraq’s Hussein or any other terrorist's signature on a treaty is worthless -- other than as a collector’s item to sell on eBay. I would never rely on the promises of known terrorist liars for my personal safety.

Broker Sentenced to 6 Years in Fraud
Thu May 23, 6:19 PM ET

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - A former stockbroker who pleaded guilty to securities fraud in a scheme that bilked a client $68 million has been sentenced to six years imprisonment.

Enrique Perusquia, 48, of Jackson Hole, Wyo., was sentenced Wednesday in federal court. He is a former senior vice president of Lehman Brothers and Paine Webber.

In February, he admitted to U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilkin that he secretly funneled $39 million from a client into gold mining companies in exchange for kickbacks from 1992 through 1998, among other things. The client's name was not released.
