Ilya, I agree on expectations, though I think they are built on experience. Toyotas and Hondas have been super reliable forever, so people are not looking for anything to go wrong. Chryslers have been POSs since the Earth was cooling, so folks look for something to go wrong. However, it wasn't always this good for the Japanese. The first Toyotas sold in the US couldn't go up the hills in San Francisco. <g>

In trucks, Fords are now considered the second most reliable, after Toyotas. 10 years ago, they were considered in a class with Yugos.
