i reshorted the Semi Holdrs (SMH) at 39.60, after covering yesterday at 38.08. i covered NTAP yesterday at 12.90, but i am still sitting on my hands a bit here. i'd like to see a pop over 14, and maybe a run at 15 (where i last shorted it).

these oversold rallies on the tech indices have not been too impressive lately. i don't know if that means another big leg down is needed before we get a rally (like the one that bounced NTAP up 25% in one day several weeks ago). ideally, i'd like to see a big rally like that before getting heavy on the shorts again.
i remain short a number of the financials, such as JPM.

i ended up reshorting a healthy amount of SMH at 39.60 on Friday, but i check-swung on NTAP and missed the opportunity to reshort above 13.50. serves me right. now i can only pray for a retest of 13 and another shorting opportunity.

good luck trading on the long side, but i think this pup is bound for the high single digits at a minimum. although we would both be pleased by a healthy rally from here i suppose.
