I'm dedicating a Novena to your optimistic scenario and trying to find a Santeria priest to spill some rum and chicken guts around a black candle in the fervent hope that what you predict comes true.

Hey, I'm in one of those Koplik-like moods, too.

Great post, David.

If you don't like my numbers, feel free to substitute your own ;)

Ok, so you did.

LOL... so then the cost to shareholders of Qualcomm stock options is much reduced if we use current market price rather than estimated asset value?

LOL...

We clearly disagree on the prospects for the business by 2006. Maybe we pick up that thread in another 4 years.

Meanwhile, as you throw around numbers in the billions of consumers, you might want to check out some income statistics.

Strata Per Capita GNI Population
Low income: $ 410 2,459 M
Lower Middle Income: $ 1,130 2,048
Upper Middle Income: $ 4,630 647
High Income $27,680 903

The word 'saturation' comes to mind. I would be very cautious extrapolating subscriber behavior in the first billion onto the second billion. And even more cautious thereafter. The 80/20 rule strikes again.

As for $10/sh EPS? Bet your bottom dollar I'll be a shareholder before it gets there.

John.
