Well, it's a tough lesson.
When someone besides you is paying the bill, even if you don't know who they are, just be quiet!
I had a frustrating experience last year when CW was having some symptoms that could have been just anxiety or a physical problem. The doctor put it down as a well check up when I sent him in. I called insurance when they turned the claim down, and they said, oh, we would cover that, but he has to change the code and resubmit.
The doctor refused.
I wrote a nasty letter, but he still refused.
I never understood why. His guard dog bookkeeper just said, He can't.
But I was out several hundred dollars that insurance WOULD have paid and that was very frustrating. We never went back to that doctor.... which I'm sure just broke his heart.
