Crooks should be stopped and rightfully so, but who's money is it that goes into the shorters hands - the thieves or the people's that got conned? As an example if a purse snatcher runs away with an old ladies purse, does the enforcer catch the thief and keep the purse?
Just something isn't right, the SEC should halt these situations and return the money to the people that got burned in the con.

A@P does not take anyone's money. He does not steal from anyone, the money is already burned unfortunately. He simply make sure that the con is in handcuffs. He does not receive money from the con man or the thief. A@P earns his money unlike the con man he turns in. You probably would accuse the U.S. military of stealing from bin Laden. Both are protectors of the innocent. You do not exercise logic Steve. I suggest you rethink this. It makes me suspicious of your motives.

Funny how Bin Laden is thrown into the argument here!!?
And how the irony of him not receiving from the con, now we hear the extortion charges.
