have you thought this through? Where is Hitachi going to get $30b in cash? A stock deal you say? Which American institution is going to trade suncom for Hitachi paper? But you're on the right track. Historically, Americans have been able to pawn off dieing computer companies on the Japanese. Remember Amdahl? I think they've learned their lessons, even if they could get that kind of money.
