NEW DELHI -- India has ruled out a meeting between Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf in Kazakhstan, where the two leaders would be participating in a 16-nation security conference next week.
"We don't see any possibility of such a meeting," a spokeswoman for India's Foreign Ministry told reporters.

The two nuclear-capable rivals, India and Pakistan, are at the brink of a war with more than a million troops positioned on their common border and heavy shelling reported between the two sides in Kashmir.

Ya de ya de ya..carping about the US wanting to control mid east oil. Its a small part of our imports, and in my view rightfully belongs to the US anway. Its been US companies that developed the fields, and the Arab governments dont represent their people anyway. The entire area would be better off if the US simply seized the Arab oil lock stock and barrel. The Arab leaders could be exiled elsewhere and a democratic govt could be installed. Secularism would be rigidly enforced and these backward people would be forced into the 21st Century.
I dont think thats so bad. (I bet this even intrigues Richnorth given his natural bent towards authoritarianism).dsm

""Democracy and development ""
How I happened in Iran :
that is Muslim "democracy" in action
Sadam also was elected at some point.
Democracy is the product of thousand years of development of Christian-Jewish civilization. Try it on Muslims and you get a Monster.
Just use your imaginations: What kind of "democratic" society Arabs will create in Palestine? And this people have been exposed to some extent to our western value system, to economic miracle of Israel. And they teach kids to how to become suicide bombers. Bury kin alive on suspicions.... Dance on the streets on 9/11
What I do not understand: do you really believe in the crap
you are posting?
If you really believe there is a cure: read some serious historical books "Europe" by Norman Davis will be a good place to start.
And also something about Russia: it was a ”great experiment”
100 mln lives wasted, still counting.
