Ya de ya de ya..carping about the US wanting to control mid east oil. Its a small part of our imports, and in my view rightfully belongs to the US anway. Its been US companies that developed the fields, and the Arab governments dont represent their people anyway. The entire area would be better off if the US simply seized the Arab oil lock stock and barrel. The Arab leaders could be exiled elsewhere and a democratic govt could be installed. Secularism would be rigidly enforced and these backward people would be forced into the 21st Century. I dont think thats so bad. (I bet this even intrigues Richnorth given his natural bent towards authoritarianism).dsm
