Meanwhile, as we're mesmerized by the phony contest between Republicans and Democrats, both are working together to loot the Treasury. Dashle promotes the farm bill, and Bush agrees. The DOD shows up missing a couple trillion dollars, and both parties are guilty as sin. Who has any leadership? At this point, top leadership is towards a military economy worldwide, and flushing of American values down the drain. The idea of a peaceful world isn't part of the priorities. Why was Rumsfeld sent to India and Pakistan instead of our Secretary of State? For example. Powell has better military credentials than Rummy, as well as better diplomatic ones. What's the deal with that? The only real leadership are those libertarians and populists who insist on tracking information and finding ways to use our technology to make politicians and public businesses more accountable.
