I agree with you. Number one if there is no improper behavior how can anyone gain if open opinions are not allowed. Hog wash is hog wash and having a moderated thread is in a way a closed door to knowledge. That type of door is only needed if you have a person who is deliberately stopping exchange on the thread and that being the case SI I am sure would ban them.

i rarely ban anyone. i think everybody would agree with that. i am pm'd a coupel times a week with requests to ban "bob" or "john" but i usually don't. opinions are never censored here. but when somebody walks up to me that never posts to me and decides to taunt me, i don't appreciate it. its spiteful. who links up a year old post to someone that they never speak to as if to say "nah nah, i was right!"??? its childish. that sort of behavior is not to be tolerated. i don't care if the guy disagrees with me, plenty of people do, but we don't taunt each other about it (funny thing is i was and am long a lot of juniors.. LOL.. but that's not the point). the guy never posts to me, then he suddenly decides to show up and post that to me this morning? what's up with that? was that an attempt to share ideas?? i don't think so. that was a pretty clear taunt, and i'm not going to put up with it. if he wants to apologize, that's one thing. but i doubt he will... he's clearly pretty arrogant and thinks pretty highly of himself or he woudl have never posted that to me today. that's not the type to apologize. no, he was in it to stir up trouble, and that sort of thing is not tolerated here. that's why we moved here... to avoid that sort of nonsense that destroys most other threads. it only ends in bickering and fighting. its pointless. if claude wants to act like a child, then he'll be treated like one.

I for one made a great trade off of Claude's call on BAY. I look for what he says. Two of the stocks he liked have been taken over and at much , much higher prices then he originally started mentioning them. Another thing is the gentlemanly way he handled that fool , Gold Tutor, who tried to ridicule him during the entire BAY run. He is a man who definitely does his homework.

Earlie and Lucretious: Please permit me to ever so humbly suggest that perhaps Luc may wish to consider taking a break from the moderating role. I am sure often times it is a pain in the arse for him, a thankless task. Although for some of these cretins, typing "adios" must have been great fun! Perhaps some new moderating blood and a break for His Baneminence would be just the ticket. This thread has many folks who would do a fine job. This thread has a rich history, tracing back through several predecessor threads and roughly 400,000 or 500,000 posts. People who post on this thread are battle-hardened, cynical, piss-off, contrary, ornery, armed, planful, concerned, and hedged like a muthafucka.. Although all good things come to an end, I'm not ready to see this thread go yet. Mike
