Academics: GRADE INFLATION SOARS ON FEARS THAT LEWINSKY WILL TESTIFY Activity in the grade market was high today as Stanford professors reacted sharply to the news that Monica Lewinsky may be asked to testify in the President Clinton impeachement proceedings. The broad market index of final exam grades soared at the market's opening as professors continued to lose faith in the democratic president. Other grade markets affected were final projects and thesis papers. Winter Quarter Political Science grades showed the most inflation with the average grade rising from a B+ to a solid A in heavy early morning trading.
