I do, but that does not really answer the question. The circumstances and the potential consequences are very different this time. In depth and in scale.

For the time Intel doesn't release it: it's good for AMD.

At the time it is released by Intel, it will look like they somehow "copy", (even "copy exactly" if MS puts enough pressure) AMD's strategy and as a result pretty much dump IA64. That's not good for Intel, Is it?

The question to me is: how "exactly" will they copy the X86-64 ISA extension and how much behind will they be.

Do not forget that at the time of 3DNow the market share of Intel. I really think that it's different this time. Time will tell.
