I'm glad you finally responded to my earlier post. I assume that's what triggered this.

It always ticks me off when X steps back and plays the aloof role after kicking the domino.

I understand that. I often react to things she does, too. I get on her case about some of them. She generally hears me out politely and then does whatever she damned well pleases. One thing you can't say about X is that she's not her own person. I admire that in her even as I shudder over some of the repercussions.

I gave her a lot of grief for coming here to Beanies when SMBR was created and making nice with Chris. I know that she can't stand him. But she had something in mind that was more important to her than her feelings about him and I have to respect that. No one is put on this earth to meet my expectations. We all do the best we can based on whatever we base it on. She's entitled to her path as are we all. And of course, we all feel free, at times, to criticize the paths of others.

X is not only a liar, she is a bad back seat driver.

I don't see how any of this makes X a liar. That's a very specific word. I don't see how any lies are instrumental in any of this. As for a back seat driver, she's just has a different destination in mind than you do. I appreciate how much of an irritant that is. She foils some of my best efforts, too.

X made a big deal out of Laz's posting of the CH/Poet evidentiary history, thus restarting the CH/Poet controversy

You could say that. You could also say that Laz started it by posting his history so long after the fact. Or you could say that those who jumped on X for making the big deal an even bigger deal prolonged the agony. Everyone who has posted on this subject has contributed to the mess. If everyone had just left Chris to howl into the wind, it would have been over long ago. But no, every time he mentioned it, folks had to come over here and jump on him. And that, in turn, brought on those who complained about the overzealousness of those who jumped on him, and so on. Going back even further, you could blame the whole thing on Neo who resisted shunning Chris and thus triggered the creation of SMBR and everything that followed. Or you could go back to the principles in this, who started the snowball and did not know now to stop it.

You can't lay it all at X's feet and make her your scapegoat. She's just another irritant in the mix.

That's how it looks to me.
