Michael, you have come to the same conclusion as me, but from a different angle.
All prices are negotiable. That is business. To think that you have been overcharged means that you entered negotiations with a different set of expectations than those that you ultimately decided were important. Unfortunately, your ultimate decision occurred AFTER negotiations were finished.
That is hardly ORCL's fault, and that is why their decision to give the money back shows good faith.

Jake, if that is laughable, then I have no idea where you have ever done business.
