2) Re: "murder". Can a person "murder" themselves? Most people call that "suicide", and reserve the word "murder" for when someone takes another's life. ...that is the jist of what the emerging debate is all about: are we, as individuals, sovereign in our own bodies with regard to what happens to those bodies. If we are not, than the Government can mandate many, many things. Assisted suicide seems to imply help (a thrid party). This is where the issue arises...
