Why can't Intel promote both x86-64 and IA-64 at the same time? So the end result is just that IA-64 gets set back another 3-5 years. No biggie. lol

It's pretty obvious whats going to happen...Intel "might" have a team working on x86-64 right now, cough. This will be kept unofficial with the hope that somehow IA-64 gets going. If need be they will unveil x86-64 and a last resort.
