I agree, but you also have to view context.

I worked for a company (which I will not name as it turned out badly) that was basically a monopoly in their market. They had EXTREMELY aggressive tactics, which were alienating their clients.
In each case, the clients could (if they had any balls), have claimed overcharging. Problem was, the competition was so far behind and had so little to offer, there was nothing the clients could do.

Everyone hates that company, and when the opportunity to change presents itself, they will.
I don't see ORCL like that. I have dealt with them and always felt much better about dealing with them than with MSFT. ORCL is square up on everything. Did they take advantage here? Possibly, but everyone takes advantage of the government because the government is so freaking stupid. ORCL did the right thing in the end. When it comes to the government, I feel THAT'S where you have to look....what happened at the end?
