Must be the MSM 6200, no? This may call for a YEEEEHAAAA!!!!

And we know that Q's relationship with VOD has been on the upswing. No wonder the NOK guys have been looking down in the mouth.

J-Phone 3G Handsets To Work Worldwide

Very interesting, thinking back to Irwin's focus on Japan, placing the handset division there and threatening to bid on a CDMA2000 license. I always looked at it from a KDDI v. DoCoMo perspective, but this is yet another angle.

Bravo! Some good news for the weekend. Maybe some World Cup exposure, and who knows, there are still those 2 big licenses looming in the background.

"..J-Phone 3G Handsets To Work Worldwide.."

==========

More to the point, they'll work poorly... worldwide.

Sadly, Q's ASICs must still comply with 3GPP standards.

However, wCDMA/GSM handsets are necessary to shatter 3GSM carriers' rather desperate hope that their absence explains subscriber indifference.... as if flawed functionality and battery drain were incidental.

Without this mental crutch, 3GSM carriers may be forced to consider mature technology options...
